SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
As North San Jose and the Berryessa BART station development proceeds, all construction should be done with an eye on sustainability. As the sunniest city in the United States, solar energy should be a part of every project. We should partner with the water district to make grey water available for irrigation. All new city projects should strive to be carbon neutral.

As North San Jose is built out, all residents should have parks, libraries, and community center spaces available within walking distance. District 4 also needs dog parks and other recreation facilities.

On the city council, I will work to protect existing open space and fight for funding to protect bike and pedestrian safety, retrofit existing city buildings to green building codes, and increase community resources – like parks, libraries and senior centers.
