Much of San Jose’s growth is taking place right here in our district. As we continue to grow and change, we need to focus on ways to move people in and out of our neighborhoods, especially as BART opens.

On the city council, I’m committed to smart transportation solutions, including:

​

• Completing the new 101 interchange.

• Ensuring BART to downtown San Jose and Diridon Station is finished

• Completing the light rail extension to Eastridge Mall

• Improving connectivity between the communities east of 880 and commercial areas west of 880

• Making sure sidewalks are safe and available so that all parts of the district are walkable
